Rothschild and Mayday Mentoring Programme

The Prince’s Mayday Network is launching a mentoring programme with Rothschild, a leading member of the Mayday Network. The mentoring programme will match up employees from the investment bank ( the mentors) with environmental start ups ( the mentees) . It aims to give these small companies professional business support and a sounding board for advice in the early stages of their business growth.

The mentees will be chosen by the Rothschild mentors through a selection process. The deadline for applications is the end of May 2011. Mentees should have limited experience in setting up their own business and the products or services must have an environmental focus. The business also needs to be a member of the Mayday Network, membership is free.

Katie Webber, Campaign Director of The Prince’s Mayday Network said “ The Mayday Network is open to businesses of all sizes and from a multitude of sectors. We aim to support all businesses on their sustainability journey. We have however noticed lately that there has been an increase in new and innovative start ups from the environmental sector signing up. We wanted to be able to support these businesses in a more tailored way and the Rothschild mentoring programme enables us to do this. “

The Mayday Rothschild Mentoring Programme will give mentors a unique opportunity to gain insight into the latest innovations going out to market and the problems that small businesses face. The mentees will not only benefit from the mentoring programme but will be able to network with other environmental start ups  at events throughout the mentoring programme.

Applications close 20th May 2011. Download the application form attached.
