CarbonLow’s CLEEAR (CarbonLow Emissions Evaluation And Reduction) Standard has been approved by the Environment Agency as a Carbon Trust Standard equivalent scheme under the CRC (CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme), the government’s new carbon cap and trade scheme.
What and How:
At a time when carbon footprints are coming under scrutiny, the CLEEAR Standard allows organisations to show customers that they are actively looking to reduce their CO2. Certification under the CLEEAR Standard will count towards the CRC Early Action Metric which is designed to reward organisations that voluntarily take steps to better manage their energy use. CLEEAR is available to all companies whether or not they are in the CRC and is being adopted as a way of showing a commitment to carbon reduction.
CarbonLow’s Group Director Peter Walden said he was delighted to be able to offer the CLEEAR Standard: “We recognise that organisations are increasingly being called upon to produce evidence that they are not only aware of the carbon emissions’ agenda but are taking active steps to reduce their CO2 and integrate this into their existing business systems. “We believe that CarbonLow’s CLEEAR Standard is a competitively priced option for any organisation that wants to become actively involved in reducing its carbon footprint.”
